Lead scientists from major laboratories in ARIs and CGIAR centers will present their most current work on development of comparative and functional genomic tools for exploitation of the molecular basis of pathogenesis and activation of signals and pathways involved in plant disease resistance; in biofortification for intervention of micronutrient malnutrition; in enhancement of water use efficiency; and increased tolerance to deficiency or toxicity against minerals in problem soils.
